Frusemide (also known as Furosemide) is a potent loop diuretic (water pill).

• Primary Use: It helps the body get rid of excess salt and water. It is commonly used to treat edema (fluid retention) associated with heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disease.

• Emergency Use: It is often used in urgent situations to treat pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs) or severe hypertension.
